  • Jr. Software Consultant/Engineer

    The Software Engineer candidate must be ambitious, professional, and a team player with excellent process orientated skills. This entry level position requires someone who is eager to learn HP Software solutions with a willingness to be coached in their role.

     

    Qualifications:

     

    · Experience working on customizing and implementing Help Desk Software (Service Manager, Remedy, ServiceNow, Altiris Helpdesk)

    · JSP development experience required

    · Working knowledge of enterprise networking required

    · ITIL Certification and training a plus

    · Experience managing help desk and NOC team

    · Ability to grasp new technologies and react to changes in a fast pace environment

    · Must be both a self-started and a team player

    · Should have excellent organizational and communication skills

    · Ability to take initiative and work independent of supervision

    · Degree in computer Science, Network Engineering or Programming

     

    Responsibilities:

     

    · Responsible to the Principle Engineer

    · Installing and customizing HP Software applications

    · End user training across multiple service management functions

  • Software Engineer

    Software Engineer Position

    Greenlight Group is a software services and consulting firm focused on the technical aspects of enterprise system monitoring software. The Software Engineer candidate must be ambitious, professional, and a team player with excellent process orientated skills. This entry level position into software consulting requires someone who is eager to learn with a willingness to be coached in their role and who is interested in software implementation. This position is initially entry level with qualified candidates fast tracking to level 3 engineer.

     

    Qualifications:

    • Ability to navigate through a variety of operating systems including Window and Linux

    • Scripting experience with VBScript, JavaScript, Python or Groovy

    • JSP development during degree course work or applied experience

    • Working knowledge of enterprise networking required

    • Experience at an IT call center or working with Help Desk Operations a plus.

    • Experience with monitoring systems such as, Nagios, Remedy, Solar Winds, Open View SCOM, SCCM/SMS beneficial

    • Ability to grasp new technologies and react to changes in a fast pace environment

    • Must be both a self-started and a team player

    • Should have excellent organizational and communication skills

    • Ability to take initiative and work independent of supervision

    • Degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering or Programming

     

    Responsibilities:

    • Initial responsibilities are to complete software specific training through course attendance and in-house working on demo environment under the instruction of the Principle Engineer

    • Responsible to the Principle Engineer

    • Installing, implementing and customizing software applications

    • Utilize process documentation procedures

    • End user training across multiple service management functions

    • Work with the Sales Team and Engineers in developing, closing and implementing new customer opportunities

    • Expected to travel within the Western US

  • Cloud Native Engineer

    Qualifications:

    • Working knowledge of the systems engineering concepts, principles, and theories

    • Working knowledge of the system engineering process

    • Good ability to grasp and apply new information quickly

    • Good ability to handle more complex assignments as experience progresses

    • Shows initiative on assignments, and professionally executes projects with little direction

    • VMWare vSphere & vCenter 6.0 & 6.5 (or other virtualized infrastructure management platform)– Entry-level proficiency

    • Windows Server (2008 R2, 2012 R2, 2016) – Entry-level administrator

    • Linux (CentOS / RHEL 7.x) – Entry-level administrator

    • Experience with some of the following monitoring technologies: Nagios, SNMP, Splunk, Syslog, GIT, Jenkins

    • Understanding of common protocols and services, including: DHCP, DNS, FTP(S), HTTP(S), LDAP, SIP, SMTP, SNMP, SSH, TCP, UDP

    • Experience using orchestration and configuration management tools (e.g., ansible)

    • Familiarity with IT Service Management tools (Remedy, Service Manager, ServiceNow) or other similar “Help desk” tools

    • Exposure to the following common Agile CI/CD development tools: BitBucket, Electric Cloud, Jira, Jenkins,

    • Bachelor’s degree in an information technology related field or equivalent work experience

    • Experience with F5 load balancers is a plus (or other similar functioned load balancer technologies, hardware OR software)

    • 1+ years of enterprise systems engineering and DevOps experience, preferably in a customer facing environment with increasing responsibility

     

    Responsibilities:

     

    • Delivering Cutting/Bleeding edge Cloud Native technologies (see https://github.com/cncf/landscape for an understanding of the potential technologies) to customers

    • Configuraiton of Kubernetes Architecture/Configuration/API/ReplicationControllers/Deployments/Persistent Volumes/Persistent Volume Claims/Daemon Sets/cluster networking/Deployments/configuration maps/services/ingress/scheduling/health probes/liveness probes/secrets/auto scaling of microservices/scaling of cluster resources

    • Create/maintain Docker containers/creating images/managing images/docker networking/volumes/logging/error handling/routing mesh/container repositories

    • Working with layer 7 and layer 4 (of the 7 layer OSI model) kubernetes ingress controllers

    • Providing Enterprise architecture diagrams that include load balancing, networking, logical volume management, thinpool device management, etc.

    • Manage / maintain a CI / CD pipeline using Fabric8 (or similar) GIT/Gogs, Jenkins, etc.

    • Manage / maintain Cloud Native Monitoring and Management solutions including: Fluentd, elastic search, Kibana, Prometheus, Grafana
